Cocaine Is Already Scary, But Now It May Also Fry Your Skin

Not that you needed a warning to stay away from hard street drugs, but yikes, forward this post to anyone who may need to read it. Health officials are warning of a public health crisis related to cocaine use...Yikes! Health experts have a very important warning to anyone who uses or is thinking of using cocaine: Users are now developing serious skinreactions after smoking or snorting it

Experts believe that as much as 70 percent of cocaine on the street right now could be contaminated with a veterinary medication drug dealers are using to dilute (or "cut) the drug to make it go farther. The medication, used to de-worm animals, often leaves "purple-colored patches of necrotic skin on ... ears, nose, cheeks and other parts of their body." This can cause permanent scarring, and in some rarer cases involving complications, even death.

Scary, right?
